    TAF OIL P.L.C is seeking an experienced and professional Assistance Finance Manager to join our team. This position will play a key role in the organizations.

    Job Purpose:

    The Purpose of the Assistance Finance Manager position is to lead and provide a pro-active, efficient, timely and relevant finance service to all departments at a level of detail necessary to manage budgets effectively.

    The incumbent is responsible for ensuring proper books of account are maintained in compliance with government regulations, Accounting and financial standards and the Finance manual of TAF OIL PLC. S/he is also responsible for timely preparation of management and financial accounting reports, sharing information with internal and external sources as appropriate, building employee capacity in financial management and accounting.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities


    • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
    • Manage outsourced functions
    • Oversee the operations of the divisions, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
    • Present potential scenarios and outcomes to management team
    • Manage the preparation and publication of departmental and organization financial documents
    • Examine financial and legal documents to verify accuracy and adherence to financial regulations and acceptable financial principles
    • Develop or recommend solutions for problems or situations

    Funds Management

    • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
    • Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
    • Use hedging to mitigate financial risks related to the interest rates on the company's borrowings, as well as on its foreign exchange positions
    • Maintain banking relationships
    • Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure


    • Manage the preparation of the company's budget
    • Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
    • Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction

    Financial Analysis

    • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
    • Engage in bench-marking studies to establish areas of potential operational improvement
    • Interpret the company's financial results to management and recommend improvement activities
    • Prepares and reviews financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports which summarize and forecast the company’s activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, cash flow, and projected expenditure, etc
    • Review company bottlenecks and recommend changes to improve the overall level of company throughput
    • Perform a variety of advanced financial analyses to determine present and forecasted financial health of the company
    • Create additional analyses and reports as requested by management

    Job Requirements

    Required qualification

    • BA/MA Degree in Accounting and other related study

    Relevant experience

    • For BA 8 years progressively responsible experience
    • For MA 6 years progressively responsible experience
